One Day's Weather
Yesterday was proof
that if you don't like
Kentucky's weather
wait five minutes.
At dawn there was a dusting of snow
(hardly enough to know it had snowed).
By noon
there was a snow squall
(snow being blown around as in a hurricane)
By mid-afternoon
there was a bit of snow of the ground
(less than an inch).
By five o'clock
the snow was gone
(it was nearly forty degrees)
Today?
who knows-- we might be living with Florida weather
(balmy and 70 degrees)
