Teddy Bear
Lying in the center of the bridge was
  a teddy bear--
       blue muted almost to gray by mud and water.
What brought it there:
     a three year-old's temper tantrum?
Flood waters
     of the Licking River?
Or perhaps just the fact
     that a teenager
no longer needs
protection from the monsters
under his bed?
